The “poster planks” become a curved seat and back piece to lean on. The upper layer will be a colourful collage of posters. At last, the bench will be covered with clear enamel paint to make it stiff, resistible and waterproof.

Uncounted masses of posters are filling the walls of the inner-city areas of our metropolises. They are the “post it notes” of the culture and art scene, as well as the advertisement and party worlds. In a neverending process they get posted over and over, mostly within a daily rhythm, sometimes even faster. This frequency symbolizes the hearthbeat and speed of the local cultures in every town.

Would somebody go and try to take these thick “planks” of posters into its single parts again, he would find an exact chronological sequence of the cultural life in this particular area in a certain time, and on top he will get the actual blue print of graphic styles, design and art trends.

All of these layers of information make the “poster planks” into a mystical, precious and vey interesting material. The way they look, is a unique, united and grown piece of everyday city culture, done by countless billposter men during the night.
