A global initiative launched by a leadership education organization takes the leap to democratize leadership development and unlock human potential by providing affordable and accessible leadership development to all people around the globe. Through low cost leadership programs, tools, and models that can be offered at the grassroots via NGOs, educational institutions, government agencies, and community organizations, the initiative aims to foster a greater understanding of leadership and development, provide enhanced self-awareness, clarity of challenges and goals, as well as interpersonal and coaching skills, building self-confidence and a learning orientation.
A Development Centre in Nigeria offers business development assistance, web based resources and customized training programs to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in that country. Recently the Centre implemented a national Business Planning Competition for entrepreneurs which received more than 24, 000 entries. They are also actively collaborating with other similar centres and openly share their business model to encourage and stimulate similar initiatives. At least 10% of their Alumni base are either Social Entrepreneurs or operate in the Social Sector Space.
